eBay

Challenge:
How can you bring Gen Z to the marketplace to sell their pre-loved items?

Insight:
Gen Z is a generation of makers and creators who care about the impact their choices have on the environment. They also have a ton of unique hobbies. By positioning eBay as a ripe marketplace where you can find other people who share those unique hobbies, eBay becomes an appealing place online to sell and share your pre-loved items. Whatever your niche is, you can “Find Your People”.

Activation

Ebay could host pop-ups across college campuses and give students a unique space to sell their things: backpacks, clothes, dorm apparel, etc.. They’d make an ebay account and post content around what they’re selling, be offered a dedicated rack to put their items up, etc. Buyers and sellers could connect in a really easy way.

Influencer Partnership

We’d partner up with influencers and send them out a curated gift box of items for them to upcycle or create something new. Influencers in the DIY, home, and fashion space would be perfect to show how random finds on eBay can be turned into something totally new.
